The Black Autumn Truffle or Burgundy Truffle (Tuber Uncinatum Chatin) has a brownish – black exterior surface, the inside called “gleba” is light brown with white spidery veins. It grows well in sandy and clayey soil, in the forest, in the undergrowth and under pine trees. Its smell is pleasant and of medium intensity.
We recommend a serving size 20 grams of fresh autumn truffle per dish per person.
